Social Gender Barriers to Immunisation

June 2, 2022

This is the first of three learning sessions about gender barriers to immunization. This 1.5 hour webinar will provide participants with an understanding of key concepts of gender-related barriers such as gender versus sex, intersectionality, applying a “gender lens” to programming, and the gender continuum in programming, i.e., gender blind vs gender responsive vs gender transformative interventions. The webinar will include an interactive session with practical examples and case studies of the role that gender plays in communities, with examples of strategies that have been implemented in low- and middle-income countries to overcome social gender-related barriers to immunization.
