Regulating Private Health Providers on the Road to Universal Health Coverage

As countries move toward universal health coverage, there’s a growing recognition that the public health sector alone cannot provide all necessary primary health care (PHC) services to cover all populations. Its now evident that integrating private health sector into PHC system will be critical.

But how can the private health sector be adequately regulated to meet government standards while also protecting and encouraging quality PHC services?

Join the Joint Learning Network (JLN) and the USAID-funded Health Finance & Governance (HFG) project, to hear countries discuss their experience and lessons learned in regulating PHC within the private health sector.
