What are some things you’ve done to safeguard your routine immunization funds?

LNCT’s network-wide survey is now closed and we are quickly compiling the results! One question on our survey asked how COVID vaccine introduction has impacted your country’s budget for other aspects of the immunization program. Of the 11 countries that responded, 9 reported that COVID vaccine introduction had caused them to delay or cancel human resources, training, capacity building or supportive supervision activities for routine immunization. Additionally, 6 reported that they had delayed or cancelled immunization campaigns; 5 reported that they had cut funds for surveillance, monitoring, or evaluation; and 5 reported they had delayed other planned new vaccine introductions.
